The SmartIP employs intelligent programming technology that dynamically programs the knee to optimum swing settings for the individual user, reducing the amount of energy expended by trans-femoral amputees. The knee self-programs and optimises gait to the individual’s own walking style, it can be safely re-programmed by the amputee at any time to perfect the limb after shoe changes e.g. from lightweight shoes to heavy boots.
